Lime Green School Grant Recipients Announced

Each Mind Matters is excited to announce the awards for the 2018 Lime Green Ribbon School Mini-Grant Program!

The Lime Green Ribbon School Mini-Grant Program will engage students and school staff from across the state to improve mental health, reduce stigma, and prevent suicide for all Californians. Applications for this program were accepted last month, and we received many wonderful submissions. The selection process was difficult, but our team of subject matter experts and community stakeholders narrowed down the list to award 23 grants across California. The grant award recipients are:

• Laguna Middle School
• Winship Middle School
• Jesse Bethel High School
• Merced Adult School
• Orland High School
• Verbum Dei High School
• American River College
• Mt. San Jacinto College Menifee Campus
• UC Berkeley
• UC Irvine
• CSU Los Angeles
• San Jose State University
• Encore High School for the Arts
• Murrieta Valley High School
• Claremont High School
• Clovis East High School
• Foothill High School
• Pleasant Valley High School
• Irvington High School

These school organizations will impact a broad range of students and school staff from diverse communities. Each Mind Matters’ Lime Green Ribbon School Awards gives schools an opportunity to build California’s Mental Health Movement by hosting mental health awareness events on school campuses in the month of May.

We are very excited about these amazing efforts that will expand the reach of students and school staff to increase awareness of mental health, reduce stigma, and prevent suicide. If you’re interested in getting involved, check in with one of these organizations to find out how you can support their efforts.
