Mental Health Matters Month Kicks Off
Mental Health Matters Month is off to a great start! It’s exciting to see how Californians are expressing their support for mental health awareness. Remember to take photos of your lime green moments this May and use the hashtags #EachMindMatters and #MillionsLikeMe. You could see your photo in our weekly roundup! Here are some highlights from last week:
On Thursday, Darrell Steinberg joined other mental health leaders to share Prop 63 success stories at a press conference at Mercy Housing in Sacramento for May is Mental Heath Month.
Tri-City Mental Health Center used the May Toolkit to create their own ribbon wall with pledges to support mental health awareness. Looking good!
To celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4, Santa Rosa Junior College PEERS Coalition crafted clever lime green Yoda goodie bags. May the fourth be with you! Matters, Each Mind.
At the Art in My Recovery Art Hop Show in Fresno, artists showed off their artwork related to their experiences with mental health and recovery. The show featured a Green Ribbon Installation in which artists incorporated our lime green ribbon into their artistic expressions.
Colusa County Department of Behavioral Health joined forces with the community to Stomp Out Stigma during their run/walk on Saturday, May 7.
The REAL Mental Health Initiative at Rodef Sholom kicked off Mental Health Matters Month with a special mental health Shabbat. We love the lime green kippahs!
