Each Mind Matters: Out & About
High School Students Spread Mental Health Awareness on Campus
During the last week of February, Whitney High School in Rocklin, CA worked to end stigma during their Mental Health Awareness Week. Students and staff donned lime green clothing and ribbons to show that Each Mind Matters.
Each day of Mental Health Awareness week, the live morning broadcast encouraged students to be supportive of their peers experiencing mental health challenges and provided resources for those who might need help. The broadcasts featured Directing Change films in which young adults speaking out about mental health.
Students posted photos of themselves sporting their Each Mind Matters ribbons on Instagram and tweeted with the #whsunleashed and #EachMindMatters hashtags to show support on Twitter. Thank you to the students and staff of Whitney High School for helping end stigma and spreading the word that Each Mind Matters!
The staff of Antonio’s Cucina Italiana in Alturas believe that Each Mind Matters and show their customers and community their support each week by wearing t-shirts every Tuesday, helping to educate the community about reducing mental health stigma. Orange County Parent Conference
The Each Mind Matters team proudly wore their lime green ribbons and presented at the Santa Ana Unified School District’s (SAUSD) 22nd Annual Parent Conference in Orange County. Thank you SAUSD and everyone involved for helping spread the word!
Tri-City Celebrates Green Ribbon Week in Lime Green Style
Tri-City Mental Health Services (Tri-City) celebrated Green Ribbon Week in lime green-style this year. Claremont High School sported “Stigma Busters” pins, held lunchtime events including a presentation on mental health issues for teens and “Ending the Silence Category” as part of Green Ribbon Week. Thank you Tri-City and CHS for showing your support for ending stigma!
