Sweep Away Stigma 2018
Putnam Clubhouse members, staff, board members, friends, and community partners will gather on Friday, July 20th to clean up a section of Concord, California. Our cleanup campaign, Sweep Away Stigma, will bring the community together to raise awareness of how stigma impacts the lives of those living with a mental illness while helping beautify Putnam Clubhouse’s neighborhood.
Please join us and invite your friends and family, too! You can also become a fundraiser yourself and join or create a team by clicking the Join Now button to the right.
Mental health disorders are often called “invisible,” but mental health stigma is not. Join us in making a visible difference in our community as we Sweep Away Stigma. The Clubhouse will provide everything you need to participate.
If you are unable to join us on July 20th, please consider helping to Sweep Away Stigma by making a tax-deductible donation online. To do so, click the Donate button to the right.

Three out of four people with a mental illness report having experienced stigma. Stigma unfairly robs them of the opportunities that define a good quality of life: employment, safe housing, and satisfactory health care, to mention only a few.
At Putnam Clubhouse we strive to educate and advocate on behalf of the greater mental health community.
All proceeds from Sweep Away Stigma will be used to support Putnam Clubhouse and our community partners. Your contribution will help provide adults in Contra Costa recovering from serious mental illness opportunities for employment, housing, education, friendship, and access to health services so they can achieve a sense of belonging.
