Mental Health Supports for Latino Students
The California Community Colleges Student Mental Health Program presents : Mental Health Supports for Latino Students webinar. The training will present the primary stressors and mental health concerns among today’s Latino college students. We will discuss evidenced-based practices and emergent interventions to attract and retain Latino students in programs geared towards mental health and wellness. Finally, we will present resources and adaptations to serve the mental health needs of Latino students in community college settings. Presented by Monique Crandal, PhD, University of California, San Diego. You will learn to:
- Identify the current Latino college student mental health trends, including barriers to access and effective supports.
- Evaluate current interventions that support Latino college student access to mental health programs.
- Adapt resources to serve the mental health needs of Latino students in a community college setting.
