Innovations in [email protected] Behavioral Health Forum
The purpose of this Forum is to launch an annual gathering of behavioral health specialists to present innovations in research and providing behavioral health and integrated health care services to [email protected] (Latinas and Latinos), who comprise the largest ethnic group in California. The majority of children in California are [email protected] K-12, and by 2042 [email protected] are projected to make up the majority of California residents with an estimated 40% being monolingual Spanish speakers.
The Bay Area has a wealth of talent, creativity, and expertise in [email protected] behavioral health and this Forum will provide a way to disseminate and exchange information among health providers and researchers. Translation from research to practice can take as much as 20 years, and this Forum hopes to facilitate a bridge to inform behavioral health workers about innovations created by the service sector from the ground up, as well as, for researchers to share innovations relative to their on going investigations in [email protected] behavioral health and integrated health care.
