You Be the Judge!
The Directing Change Program & Film Contest is seeking judges for its 4th annual competition. Youth and young adults across California are currently creating 60-second films about suicide prevention and mental health that are used to support awareness, education and advocacy efforts. Now you too can be a part of the mental health movement and take part behind the scenes by becoming a judge to help us select the winning films!
Do you have expertise in directing, writing, editing, or acting? Perhaps an interest in journalism or public service announcements? Or maybe a passion to bring awareness for suicide prevention and mental health? Whatever your motivation is you’ll be inspired by these future filmmakers! The entire process will take less than 2 hours of your time, all of which can be done online from home. The deadline to contact us with interest in being a judge is February 1, 2016.
Judges will…
- Participate in a brief 30-45 minute judging orientation in (via phone or webinar) in January or February 2016.
- Review up to 12 60-second film submissions and complete an online scoring form for each (time commitment of less than two hours.) The judging period will take place in mid-March 2016.
- Be invited (but not required) to attend the award ceremony in May 2016.
- Be recognized on the contest website and in the award ceremony program.
