It’s Mental Health Matters Month! Here’s how to get involved.

May is Mental Health Matters Month. We have tools that make it easy and fun to spread mental health awareness in your community.

We are excited to kick off Mental Health Matters Month and share our new activation kit! The theme of the 2019 May activation kit is “Strength in Community.” With our new tools and activities, we are encouraging Californians to seek out the commonalities we have, fortify the road ahead and collectively continue to build the latticework of resiliency.

Wondering where to get started? Here are some ideas for how you can get into the spirit of Mental Health Matters Month and make an impact.

Turn a Fence Lime Green

This May, Each Mind Matters is introducing a new activity that draws inspiration from street art and the theme of #StrengthInCommunity. To make your own fence art installation, all you need is a chain link fence, some lime green duct tape, and a friend! For more info and step-by-step instructions, visit the May Fence Activation page.

Spread the Word

An easy way to support Mental Health Matters Month is by posting about it on social media! We have provided a variety of content to be used across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, including prewritten posts, animations and images. All you need to do is copy, paste and post!

Visit the activation kit page to view and download our free social media content. Remember to use #EachMindMatters and #StrengthInCommunity!

And be sure to follow along on Instagram – we will be posting interactive story templates throughout May so you can share how you support mental wellness.
